I was cleaning out some "stuff" and I ran across some old brochures. Last summer, we took a camping trip to Grand Rivers, Kentucky over by Land Between the Lakes. If you've never been there, it's beautiful. It's actually not that far from here and there's so much you can do there. There are cabins you can rent right on the water overlooking the sailboats. I love seeing sailboats on water. There are hotels and, of course, camping. There is a playhouse "Badgett Playhouse" where they have live musicals and plays year round. Close by is Pattis Settlement where you can eat at the famous "Pattis Restaurant". People come from all over to eat here. This little settlement is full of shops of all kinds. (And for our Harley friends, there is a Harley Davidson clothing shop here also. The clothes are usually cheaper than at dealerships.) I bought a jacket there once for $20, just saying. Other times I've bought jewelry, tee shirts, and sunglasses--all on sale. You gotta check it out! There are several restaurants, neat little dairy dips and all kinds of places to check out. They even have a shop that sells linens, curtains, etc. at discounted prices. So, I guess you can tell, last summer wasn't our first visit here, but we love this area. Like I said, it's close to home and a fun place to go. We took our Harley and there were lots of good riding roads too. So I will close with a few pictures of this great place by Land Between the Lakes.
You can actually drive through the middle of the buffalo. Too cool!
