I'm just sitting here thinking about a friend of ours by the name of Terry Fisher. He is a nice man. One of the things I love most about Terry is his smile. I have never seen him when he wasn't smiling. He always seems to be happy and in a good mood. If he wasn't, then he hid it well.
Terry is the husband of Theresa, also a friend of ours. He is the father of our son-in-law, Joey who is married to our daughter Jesse. They have two daughters--Danielle and Zoie. They are also a wonderful family. So Terry and Theresa and Mike and I share families together. We have had Thanksgiving with Terry and Theresa for several years now at our daughter's house. We will miss out on that this year because we are in Florida.
Terry has lung cancer and he's not doing very well at all. He is nearing the end of his life here on this earth. Terry may not be around for Thanksgiving this year either but he knows the Lord. So he may have the best Thanksgiving of all of us. Come Thanksgiving if Terry's no longer with us, we can imagine him sitting at the Lord's table in Heaven. Oh, what a day he will be having up there, no longer in pain, feasting at the table of the Lord. He will be running through the streets of Heaven visiting people who have gone on before him and, of course, he'll be smiling from ear to ear. No more sorrows, no more pain.
Terry will be leaving behind his wife and three children and several grandchildren and friends. He will be sorely missed here on this earth. Pray for Terry's family. This is going to be hard for them. Terry's still a young man in his 50's. I know Mike and I will miss him and his wonderful smile. Terry's not gone yet and only God knows when He will take Terry to live with Him for eternity. Only God can heal the hearts of those who are taking care of him every hour of the day and who will be left behind. Pray for Terry's care-givers. Pray for healing for this family.
Lord, I pray right now for our friend Terry Fisher. I pray for Theresa who loves him very much and is doing everything in her power to make Terry comfortable and to spend as much time as she has left with him, her husband and best friend. We can't possibly fathom how they feel knowing they're about to be separated for a while. But, Lord, help Theresa hold on to the fact that one day she will see Terry again. Give her strength and knowledge to care for Terry to the best of her ability. Lord, I ask that you keep Terry's pain to a bare minimum. Help them to keep their eyes on you, Lord. I pray you will be with their family during this stressful time and when it's over that you would heal their broken hearts. We love You, Lord, and need You in our lives. God Bless this family. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

ROMEO
Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Well, I'm rite cheer!
Really Old Men Eating Out
Breakfast served at the American Legion for some really old men. From what I hear, it was absolutely delicious. Mike had an omelette and some potatoes. He showed me a picture on his cell phone. It really looked good. Then he repaired our electrical problem and spent the afternoon in the pool with the guys. Tonight, we are going back to the same American Legion for dinner. There's a group going from this rv park. That should be fun.

Our nice clean home. We love living in our little "tin can" as Mike calls it. Yeah, It's small but it took me several hours to clean today. I vacuumed, wiped everything down and organized some things a little better. I even cleaned and vacuumed out the garage area. Not to mention, doing the laundry. I had a great day working. I enjoyed it. So for a day everything is sand free, clean and organized. You would not believe how much sand you can track in. We take our shoes off on our rug patio and come in through the garage area before coming into the living area. But it still gets in somehow.
You can have your big houses. I love living in this little camper.
That's all I have for today. We got an email from Travis (friend of ours) and I'm anxious to read his blog. So we wish all of our family and friends a wonderful weekend. Also, we wish our friends Stan and Sherry and Donny and Pat and Stan's sister and husband and whoever else is with them a great time in the mountains. Be safe and have a blast.
UGHHHHHHHH !
Last night I had the WORSE headache! Don't know why but Mike thinks it's because it's so dry here. It's supposed to rain tomorrow. Hope it does so maybe it will settle whatever is causing me headaches. I'm not supposed to have headaches here. At least, I didn't last winter. Anyway . . . . .
Yesterday morning, we went bicycle riding for two and a half miles. I hear you, that's all? You have to realize we haven't ridden bicycles since we were teens mostly. There are a lot of years in between riding all the time and never riding. Anyway, that was all we could handle for the first day. My legs felt wobbly when we got back home. I never stopped pedaling so I guess that was great exercise. I
wasn't just coasting along. I worked hard at it. Then we drank some water and took a 30 minute walk. We cleaned up and found a Lowes for some electrical parts and returned to work.
Toodles!

This was Mike working hard.
This was me helping him.
Today, Mike went to a "ROMEO" breakfast with the guys. "ROMEO" stands for "Really Old Men Eating Out". He hasn't returned yet but I will show you the pictures he surely took while out, maybe tomorrow or tonight. While he was gone, I cleaned house. I'll have to show you the pictures of our clean home later too. My camera won't download for some weird reason. Anyway . . . . . .
sitting here just waiting for my man to return home from his morning out with the guys.

Day spent with friends
I'm zapped! Today, we got up really early and walked for an hour. Then we came back and had our coffee and protein drink. We spent the rest of the day at the pool soaking up the rays. Then out to "Lenner" (lunch/dinner) at Burnt Store Grille and back home. Our next door neighbors were outside so for the last few hours, we have been laughing and talking with them. We met Gene and Janie here last year when we were placed in the site next to their camper. We all became good friends and kept in touch over the summer. They spend their summer in North Carolina. Then we all planned to return here and we asked for the exact same sites we had last winter and got them. They got here a few days before us and when we pulled into the park on Sunday, they greeted us with hugs. Gene helped us get our camper parked and set up and our bikes unloaded. They are such nice people.
Now after too much sun today this is how I feel.

Also, I got some sun. We were at the pool for about three hours. Don't know if we'll do that tomorrow but if we do, I'll sit in the shade more.
Tomorrow, we may go bicycle riding. That should be fun. I'll let you know. I realize this isn't much but I'm tired.

Laid back Tuesday
We walked for an hour this morning. Then we cleaned up and drove to lunch. We really enjoy finding new places to eat. #1 Wok is the name of the place. They had four tables. So I guess most of their business is to-go. We saw several come in and order to go while we were in there.
Yeah, this is how we feel and, really, we didn't eat that much. We ate Chinese and Thai. Mike had the Chinese. I had the Thai. He had General Tso Chicken and rice and egg roll. I had Pineapple, shrimp, peppers, onions, and carrots stir-fried with rice. It was good but now we're stuffed.
We also visited a Good Will store. I found some lighter weight shorts for walking and we bought some books. Good Will is the best place to buy books because they are so cheap.
It is soooooooo hot here that my knee length walking shorts are so hot when you're out walking for exercise. So I needed something a little lighter weight. The temps here are at 90 degrees. Whose bright idea was it to come to Florida in the first place!
Yesterday afternoon, we finished setting up by opening out our awning and anchoring it down and hanging our sun screen to keep the sun off our sitting area. We have a nice shady sitting area now where we can read or even cook outside and eat. We keep a fan out there to keep the flying, biting, stinging, worrisome insects from landing on us.
Here's what they'll be seeing tonight while I'm enjoying the outside. Thank you, Gary Larson.
They wore me out last night. I have bites from my ankles to my elbows. Funny thing, they didn't bite Mike. Hmmmmm! Tonight, I'll be prepared for them.
Well, I'm going to go for now but I'll leave you with a bit of "senior" wisdom.

Monday
It was just a regular Monday. We did laundry and then we drove over into Ft. Myers to get some things we needed from Camping World. We then bought some groceries and found a place to have lunch.
So now you know, we get ideas from other's creativeness. Yes, we are creative idea thieves. We need help. So if you have any great ideas for us to steal, let us have them!
It's late here (10:00) and I'm ready to call it a night. Of course, here we are an hour later than we are at home. The television shows we like come on an hour later than at home. So the 9:00 shows come on at 10:00 and we still have Blindspot to watch before turning in, maybe.
This is the place we had lunch--Red Bones Grill. It was a wonderful experience. We accumulated so many ideas for how to change an empty space in our backyard into a really fun space. We will absolutely return to this place. I wanted a burger (something we hadn't had in a while). Mike had fish tacos. My burger was great and so were the fish tacos. There were so many things to look at on the inside. It reminded us of our metal fence and gave us ideas of things to add to the fence.

Sun and Shade RV Park
We are now in Punta Gorda. This is where we will remain for the winter. It is soooooooo hot here. Whose bright idea was it to come to Florida! We almost got too hot getting our home set up for the winter. We had to drink lots of water and come in and cool off every so often. I worked mostly inside setting up while Mike worked outside. (He's tougher than I.) Last night, we spent visiting good friends in Zephyr Hills before leaving this morning. Next winter, we will be spending the winter in Zephyr Hills. We love that area. It's also quite a bit cheaper. We were informed by our friends here in Sun and Shade that the management here is going up on lot rent next year. That's okay because we won't be here.
Zephyr Hills isn't quite as hot during the winter months as Punta Gorda, but that's quite all right with us. We can still get out and walk every day.
One of our favorite walkways here in Punta Gorda.
This is where we're staying.

This is where we had dinner tonight-- the Burnt Store Grille. It was pretty good. We both had Italian dishes and salad. It's mostly a meat and three and it's a nice place to eat. Our server was very nice. We ate here some last winter.
We are very tired and ready to chill
