Apalachicola and St. George Island - Page 1

Today, we explored.  We drove over to Apalachicola and Eastpoint where we got out and walked all over the town.  It's a very nice town with lots and lots of shops, art galleries, and restaurants.  We ate lunch at a place called "Hole In The Wall Oyster Bar".  I tried raw oysters for the first time and loved them.  They had the best flavor (the horse radish and hot sauce may have had a little to do with the flavor).  Anyway, I had wanted to try them and saw my opportunity.  We also tried a smoked tuna dip which was very good and then we split a grilled grouper sandwich which was AWESOME!

We walked around some more and went through several art galleries and shops then drove over the bridge to St. George Island.  Very nice place with lots of pretty homes.  We drove through a state park here and found an RV park we might want to stay in sometime.  This park was directly across from the beach but there were huge sand dunes in between.  Great place for riding bicycles or walking and even going to the beach.  Each RV site was separated by trees which made each site private.  It was very nice.  There were water and electrical hookups at each site and a dump station on the way out. We were very impressed and plan to stay here in the future for a few days if possible.

Took this picture on the way out of our RV Park.  Couldn't resist.  This is the street we are on and of course, it's Mike's favorite team.

Will have to make 2 pages of this day because it won't let me save pictures here.
