On the Fourth Day of Christmas

We have flooding again!  This first picture was taken out the back door and the second out the front door.  The street out front is also under water.  We're surrounded on both sides with water.  If we step out onto our patio rug, water oozes up through it.  I feel bad for the people down below us where the water gets deep and totally surrounds their campers and takes forever to dry out.  They have just this week been allowing campers to pull in at the lower part of the park.  Now it rains on them.  We had rain starting yesterday afternoon and it never stopped all night.  The owners of this park seriously need to look at their drainage system.  IT'S NOT WORKING!    We're okay.  We just have to stay in.  They have pumps on some parts of the park where they're pumping water into the ditches/canals surrounding the park.  But they only pump one part of the park and it's not the lowest part.

Did I tell you we weren't coming back here next year?  We have decided to stay in Zephyr Hills.  We do love it here in this area and the weather is AWESOME!  But we also love the Zephyr Hills area and the cost will be cheaper to stay there.  We've been watching the weather in Zephyr Hills and it's been staying right with Punta Gorda weather.  Plus, Zephyr Hills has our favorite walking park.

Tonight, we're going to go a bakery and listen to Blues.  Sounds really weird, doesn't it.  So yesterday, we decided to go to the bakery for lunch and check it out.  The food was great and we reserved a table for tonight.  Nino's Bakery is the name of the place.  It's on a side street in Punta Gorda in an out of the way place.  We are always looking for someplace new.  We found it.  We also brought back bakery goods for breakfast today.  We're eating it as I type.  All it needs is a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream.  Yeah, that's right.  I said it and if I had some ice cream, I would put some on here--even if it is breakfast! We have an apple pastry and a cherry pastry and we split them each.  It's like eating pie.  See what I mean?

So on the fourth day of Christmas, we have pie for breakfast and Blues for dinner.
