Date night

Tonight we went to a Shriners Spaghetti Dinner.  They gave us a huge plate of spaghetti, a small salad and some bread for only $7.00.  Not only did we have dinner, but they provided live entertainment.  The place was decorated beautifully and there were many tables and a large dance floor.  We got there at 4:00 and ate our dinner.  At 5:00 a man got up and provided live music for everyone.  He sang all kinds of songs--even played saxophone.  Lots of seniors got up and danced and they were wonderful.  We stayed until 7:00 and people were still lined up out the door for dinner.  It was wild!  If you can imagine wild senior citizens!
Are we having fun!  You wouldn't believe it.  Mike and I really did have a date.  There were five of us at our table but Mike and I talked and laughed together all night.  We admired all the dancers.  They did a great job.
We are back at our camper and things are quiet here.  We've found that seniors pretty much call it a night early.  We didn't see anyone sitting outside when we came through the rv park tonight.  It's still nice outside.  We could be sitting outside in our shorts and t-shirts and not be cold.  Today was so warm but there was a nice breeze blowing across the park.  We stayed close to home today.  I sat outside on the patio by our camper reading most of the day with my feet propped up in a chair.  It was nice.  We're getting tans already.
It really is hard to remember it's winter down here.  We totally do understand snow-birds.  And one of the best things--I haven't had but one headache since we left home.  That was the first day we arrived in Okeechobee.  There was a lot of smoke and dust in the air.  That night I had to take some ibuprophen.  I've taken my allergy meds twice.  That's all!  A lady from the Big O Park where Ann lives, brought Mike and me a loaf of banana bread tonight while we were sitting outside talking but I won't be able to eat any of it since it's full of walnuts.  But wasn't that nice!  She made that bread specially for us.
I need to stop so my blog will save so until bedtime, we'll be just chillin'.
