Plant City, Florida

We've had a great day.  A couple who live here fulltime, invited us to go with them to Plant City, Florida to Parkesdale Farm Market.  You saw that picture before this blog of the shortcake.  That's what we ate.  That's all we ate.  (I couldn't eat all of mine.)  The strawberries were so sweet.
This is a Farmers market.  It is full of every kind of vegetable you can imagine, even jars of honey, jam and hot sauces.  They have everything and it's all fresh.  They even have plants.  Some of the most unusual plants I have ever seen.  It was super crowded too.  People were eating strawberry shortcake and buying veggies.  We bought a large jar of honey and a strawberry onion.  (I actually grilled it tonight and it was awesome.)  It was unbelievable how busy this place was.  The cars never stopped coming in.  They had a giant map of the United States with push pins for visitors to mark where they're from.  So now Portland has a pin.
The couple we rode with, we met at the sock hop last week here in the rv park.  We all just hit it off--Ed and Jackie Pitts.  They're from New Jersey.  They were so much fun to hang out with. We all felt like we had known each other for years.  It's great how some people you meet are like that.
Tomorrow we'll be heading back to Malorie and Ben's.  I told her to tell Ethan to be ready to play.  Oh well, he's still fun to watch sleep.  Newborns are so precious.  Even their cries are precious.  She sent me a picture of him at the doctor's office today dressed in his dinosaur jacket.  Too cute.
I think Mike had way too much fun today.  He's already asleep in his recliner.  It's getting dark here and it's supposed to be in the 30's. BRRRRRR!  I thought we were in Florida!  What's up with this?  Oh well, we have plenty of heat so we'll stay warm.  Thank God for warm quilts, too.
So, since Mike is chillin', I believe I will too.
