We love Zephyrhills! We could live here. It's a wonderful little town with everything you need. There are so many little parks for walking. We found one today that has a walking track around this large lake. The lake is full of different kinds of birds. We were there for several hours. We packed a lunch this morning to take with us and we walked for over an hour. Then we picked a table to have our lunch. Again, we had a peanut butter sandwich, a small bag of Fritos, and a bottle of water.
After lunch, we walked around the lake one more time before getting in the truck
The weather was a little cool today, just barely in the 60's, but we donned our hoodies and hit the trail. We actually left the park and walked up the sidewalk of the town and around through some of the neighborhoods and back to the park. It was great!
We then drove through some mobile home parks near the park looking at places for sale. We just love this area. It's central Florida and close to anyplace you want to go. For all you seniors out there, you have to check this place out sometime. The traffic is not like your larger cities. It's easy to get around anywhere here. The people are from all over the USA and Canada. All the people we have met have been so nice. There are lots of seniors here and most of the rv and mobile home parks are set up for 55 years of age and older. They are so quiet and most are neat as a pin.
There are also lots of family owned restaurants here that cater to seniors. Their prices are very reasonable. We haven't tried them all but they advertise their prices as you drive by. We did try a Cuban sandwich place yesterday. We couldn't eat all the food they gave us so we brought it home. It was good though. They had some of the best black beans we had ever eaten.
Malorie update: We spent the day with her and Ben Wednesday. We had so much fun, playing games and watching movies. We even took a long walk around her neighborhood. But little Ethan has not decided to venture out into the world yet. The doctors say everything is as it should be so we're just waiting on God to tell Ethan it's time to meet his family.
Today, we passed a church that was called "Just Church". It said, "Come as you are". We thought that was too neat. "Just Church". I don't even know what denomination it was or if it was non-denominational. Also on the church sign, it said, "Pet Cremation". Hmmmm! So is it a church for people or pets? Different! We may have to find out.
But for now, we're just chillin'.
