It's been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for me. My headache morphed into a migraine. I have done absolutely nothing today but sit and feel sick at my stomach because of the pain in my head. Boo Hoo! Mike, however, had a pretty good day because he was able to get the truck washed. He likes doing that. He fixed our lunch which was awesome. He's such a good cook.
So since I've done nothing really to talk about, I thought I'd mention a few things I'm thankful for.
I'm thankful to the Lord for:
Making my migraine go away this evening. I feel so much better.
My wonderful husband who never complains when I don't feel well enough to get out or do anything with him.
My sweet husband who will cater to me when I don't feel well like going to the store and bringing me some Sprite to drink.
My great cooking husband who jumps in there and prepares a wonderful meal when I don't feel up to it.
Hot Lemon Ginger tea that works to settle my stomach.
For the weather finally staying one way. (A change in the weather causes me to have a bad headache a lot of times.) It's been raining here for three days off and on.
For blinds that make the rooms dark when I need them to be dark and for a sleep mask when I need it and for ice packs for my head.
For our granddaughter, Danielle, who just turned 22 yesterday. Happy Birthday Pretty Girl!
For the fact that I don't feel so terribly old when I think about having a 22 year old granddaughter.
For the wonderful place Mike's going to find for us to move to this coming Wednesday. And let me say, this place hasn't been so terribly bad. It is mostly quiet here. The people don't bother you. It's mostly a trailer park really. There are a few motor homes and fifth wheel campers but a lot of full-timers who don't really care what their places look like. We like staying in nice neat places. But the first week was cheap. This week not so much. Sometimes the neighbors turn their music and/or their TV's up real loud but usually they turn it down as it starts getting dark. We don't have a pretty view from our camper. The row we're on is the junkiest one but as I said, usually it's a quiet place and no one bothers us. Probably, we will never stay here again. I don't believe the owners (who also live here) care about the place. So sad.
Thank you for air conditioning because it is hot here. But so far, there's been a good breeze outside. Thank you that we tan and don't burn. Thank you for the tans we're getting from just walking since we can't really stand to lay out in the hot sun. Thank you that as the evening hours come and the sun starts going down, we can sit outside and feel great.
Lord, now that I'm feeling way better, I pray the dinner I fix for Mike tonight is pleasing to him. He's worked hard all day washing that truck by hand. He even vacuumed our camper and made the bed. He's a keeper.
I pray all our children heard great messages from you at their churches today that they can and will apply to their lives this week.
