We are officially retired old people. But we still feel 30 and my brain thinks like I'm still 15 in some ways. That's because I've always been and always will be a "Nerd". In school I was known by several as "the girl who read all the time". Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a husband who loves me for who I am--nerd and all.
Yesterday, Mike spent the day telling everyone bye. He has so many friends and is well liked by them all. Today, we spent preparing the camper for take off.
Who knew we could be so happy in such a small space. It really helps that we're best friends and that we enjoy each other's company. I do believe we have managed to fit everything we will need for a while into the camper. Yes, I am one of those women who carry more clothes than I can wear in a week because I want choices. We will be all packed and ready to go before night fall tomorrow. YAY!
Tonight we went to dinner with two of our best friends, Stan and Sherry Peacock. They're awesome. We had a wonderful time laughing and praising God for all our blessings. We hope they'll be able to join us some on our adventure.
Well, it's almost 10:30 and we need to get to bed because we go to early service at church. I realize this blog may be pretty boring. I'm just trying it out before we hit the road. When we have places to tell about, the good, the bad and the ugly, it will be more informative. Until then, I will ramble about whatever. Sorry.
Yours truly, Melanna
