All the way down here, I was watching out the window looking for gators and anacondas. Yesterday, we drove over to the gulf side and there were all these signs on the road warning against bears. So now, I have to watch for gators, anacondas and bears. OMG! Just want all our family and friends in Tennessee who woke to snow this morning to know that it's scary down here. Yes, the temperature is in the 70's and I'm having a hard time remembering that it's actually winter and still January, but I mean, BEARS! Did you guys wake up and see any bears outside? Hmmm? How about gators and anacondas? Yeah, you think you have it rough! Yes, we can walk around in tee-shirts and even shorts but gators don't care what you're wearing. I feel the need to wear boots with my shorts. I mean, I feel so unsafe in flip flops and sandals when there are anacondas running around. I saw all these people out by the pool yesterday and I was in fear for their lives. Yeah, we are having to turn on air conditioning and you have snow, but really, BEARS! I didn't get to report on our day yesterday over by the water on the gulf because of technical difficulties. So I'll do that today sometime after Mike and I get back from our walk. But I've had a few people text me about the bad weather there and I just wanted to set you straight. Yeah, you have it tough with the snow and 20 degrees but we have BEARS, GATORS, and ANACONDAS.
Still, we wish you ALL were here with us. (That way, if we see any bears, we could have friends to help us fight them off.) What? Who are you calling selfish? And as my favorite "philosopher" once said,: "Just remember, before criticizing someone, walk a mile in their shoes. Then when you criticize them, you will be a mile away and have their shoes." - Jack Handey
We love you guys and hope you don't mind me having fun at your expense. I know I'll get it back at some point. Love you.
Mike and Melanna
