Today, we had our coffee and hit the trail, on foot. Remember I said we are off the beaten path but there is a walking trail between Branford (which is about 8 miles away) and White Fort (which is about 6 miles in the opposite direction). Since we drove through Branford getting to our destination, we decided to walk towards White Fort. Halfway there, we saw a sign for a state park. We love state parks. So we decided to walk it. I have to stop here and thank God for state parks and restrooms. By the time we arrived to the restrooms of the state park, we had walked for an hour. We took a very short break and walked down to the river. Then back to the picnic tables and had a brunch of one peanut butter sandwich, a bag of corn chips and a Gatorade. Then we headed back toward the RV park. We were gone three hours. Most of the time spent walking. Then we decided to take a road trip and map out some miles for walking. This walking track, evidently, goes from Branford to White Fort. That's about 14 miles. I wish we had one of these out by our house. Our plan tomorrow is to walk to White Fort and back. While in White Fort tonight, we found a barbecue restaurant called Charlies Barbecue. We bought our dinner and brought it back to the camper. We had pulled barbecue and coleslaw. It was great! We will definitely return. There was a lot of different "soul food" sides, but we only got coleslaw. Tomorrow, we will try something different. They even have fried chicken. If you come to Branford, Florida, you have to drive 14 miles down the road to White Fort and eat at Charlies Barbecue.
Well, we're just chillin' now. Mike and Melanna
