Have you ever heard of a town without a hardware store? Well, it seems, we're in one. We have run around all afternoon in search of a hardware store and can't find one. We've had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad time searching for a hardware store. Well, maybe not terrible or even horrible because we were able to locate a few more rv parks and scope them out for future use. We've found some pretty decent places. We even found a county park with lots and lots of rv camping. The great thing was hardly anyone was using it. They were paying a little more than we are so we'll most likely stay where we are for another week but we do love county and state parks for camping. There is so much space for walking and usually more space for your camper. However, we are in a pretty large rv park with lots of streets in it for walking. Today, though, is very cool and very, very windy. I'm having to wear a jacket today. We even have heat on in the camper. We talked to our friend Ann who is farther south in Okeechobee and she says it's cool there too. Malorie's in Orlando this weekend and I bet she's freezing. Needless to say, we haven't been out walking today. We have been very busy though. We did our laundry this morning before heading out to buy some things for the camper. We had our main meal for the day at a Popeye's Chicken place. We had never been to a Popeye's and wanted to check it out. It was very good. Mike had fish and I had chicken. We shared and they were both good. Their mardi gras mustard sauce was awesome. If you like horse radish, you'll love it. They give senior discounts too. We haven't been eating out every day because we don't need to. We're only having two meals a day. We eat a late breakfast of oatmeal and toast, or just toast, or English muffin and jelly, then around 3:00 or 4:00, we eat our main meal for the day. It's working out really good for us. One of the fun things is looking for places where we can get a meal for $5.00 a piece or restaurants that give senior discounts. Did you know that Steak and Shake has all their meals under $4.00? We are absolutely loving living a frugal lifestyle. We post every cent spent every day to see how well we're doing. We're finding out we don't need so much to survive. We love peanut butter and bologna (not together) and one dollar packages of creamed filled cookies. I love putting us on a budget and seeing how little it takes to live and still be happy. We are happy. We love each other's company and we laugh every day. We have our devotions together and we pray every day. We love our life. There are a lot of older couples here but we see the men doing their own thing and the women doing their own thing. Mike and I do whatever we do together--even laundry. Thank you, Lord, for my husband. Us being together was a God thing. We know it.
Right now, it is 4:30 and we're just chillin'.
